The Governing Bodies of the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County

The governing bodies of the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County are the General Assembly and the Governing Board.

General Assembly
The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County. It approves the Association’s long-term strategic direction, budget and action plan, amends the Articles of Association, decides on the admission and exclusion of members, and appoints or recalls the members of the Governing Board.

Governing Board
The Governing Board manages and represents the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County in its day-to-day governance. It organises the Association’s management, prepares matters for the General Assembly, ensures the implementation of decisions, may establish committees, and decides on other management matters that do not fall within the exclusive competence of the General Assembly.
